The Founders

BOB GARON is a pioneer in the field of drug abuse rehabilitation. He is recognized as the "Father of the Therapeutic Community (TC) in Asia" because he set up the first TC in Asia (Philippines) in the early seventies. This method of rehabilitation he introduced years ago is now being used in many Asian countries.

He is an educator, a counselor, a writer and a successful businessman whose first love is working with troubled people, especially the youth. He has lectured on the drug problem here and abroad many times.

EMMY GARON began working with drug abusers while still in college. She became the first Filipina in the Philippines to direct a drug rehab center. She is a specialist in the Therapeutic community approach. She is also a counselor, an educator and co-founder (along with her husband) of Golden Values Schools, a successful businesswoman and a member of various civic clubs.
