The Beauty of Nazareth

Skip – From the tallest tree to the tiniest bug, God has worked a masterpiece on this ranch. This place is truly touched by Him. The combination of the chapel, acacia tree and the sun’s rays shafting through make it a splendid view. Coconut trees look like fan-brushes that are stroking the sky, painting it using radiant colours. It’s the small things that add up to something grand.

Iñigo – At first glance, looks nothing like a rehab centre. I remember seeing the flowers in the Gazebo. In the chapel, the sunset from that side of the ranch really never ceases to amaze me. I’ve even chosen my own spot in the chapel where I sit everyday. I like it when small leaves fall from the trees. It seems surreal sometimes.

Chao – I’ve much considered myself as a green loving person. I’ve lived in the concrete jungle, and I liked it that way. Loved the tall buildings, cemented sidewalks, careening vehicles, even pollution. For me, beauty was something to be found in an Art gallery or in magazines. Not in a small flower or a wayward butterfly. When I looked around, there are flowers of every color and variety that seem to dance in the wind. Big trees that house every bug imaginable. “ Discovery Channel,” I once said. Everywhere I look, I see something beautiful. Reminds me that the world is a wonderful place. And God is nothing short of a genius.

Fred – The very first time I went to the mass, I never thought I would enjoy the beauty of the nature that God has wrapped around. The ranch is truly amazing. I love the sunsets.

Norman – Everything looks calm here in Nazareth. The beautiful flowers, plants and trees. I look at the fishes, I find it soothing. The scenery at the chapel during sunset, it’s like looking at a different painting each day. Beautiful colors of the sky gives me great joy inside.

Tres – The real beauty of Nazareth lies in the lives of the Residents… for what more beauty can one seek in withering lost souls. Lost lives slowly finding the way. The concert of the mind with such serenity could be found.

Daye – I am able to see the beauty of Nazareth from God’s most important creation – us. Despite the variety, I am able to see the similarities in each of us. In different ways, the beauty of Nazareth is Nazareth itself.

Diane – every night and everyday I wake up… I can feel the cold breeze. The cool breeze, the green  leaves, singing birds. I just ignore them, can’t see their beauty. I’m starting to appreciate them. Whenever I see them, hear them, I feel good. The beauty of Nazareth is not the place, but the beauty of its people.

Fr. Mel – I really enjoy the sight of the flowers that come in various colors, shapes and sizes. The aura the flowers exude seem to be so fragile.

Janelle – The beauty here is in the flowers. Adds life into the wonderful hidden garden of the Lord. The wonderful birds and butterflies put more color in life to this paradise. Birds chirping in the mornings, I feel they sing some kind of song for me to keep me happy and feel special. It just leaves you breathless.

Dwight – My day begins with a great surprise. I never remember looking at a sunrise or sunset. The beauty of the leaves, trees give an impact to me now. I find peace in simply looking at these things.

Aldo – when I look at the sky, that is the time I always reflect and
thank Jesus that I’m here. I remember countless times that I was in the chapel and it rained – it’s so powerful. I love the beauty of this place. It takes away every pain and anger. Brings me peace. I love this little piece of heaven. The beauty of Nazareth.

Zeig – Nature has its own  way of healing my broken soul. Flowers make me go back and see how lucky I am. Be thankful to God that I still have a life. Far beyond what I have before for a recovering substance abuser like me. Beauty is far from what the eyes can see and the mind could perceive. Its nature in a microcosm.

Clarisse – Every morning I am greeted with dawn. A beautiful hue of pink and orange. What beauty, what mystery, what awe I experience everyday… from dawn to dusk… brining me joy and excitement of what is to come for the next day.

Iris – The insects I only read in  books when I was still a kid roam here. Never ceases to amaze me, I was doing laundry and I saw a large leaf falling out of nowhere and to my surprise it clung to a coconut tree next to me. It was a lizard with flaps on its side. Beauty is not seen in Nazareth… beauty is experienced everyday in Nazareth.
