TREATMENT
Treatment is a highly controlled and structural phase during which residents are closely supervised. The early part of this phase comprises the most vital evaluation period where most of the individual's inclinations, strengths and weaknesses are uncovered and analyzed.
Residents are gradually introduced to the rules, regulations and the therapeutic methods employed by the center. Residents are kept busy the whole day leaving no time for idleness. There are work responsibilities, seminars, group sessions of many kinds, counseling, sports and recreation, prayer and meditation.
Those who do not have a high school diploma must work toward getting one while in the center and those who already have attained educational degrees should strive to become useful members of society.
In the treatment phase, residents are taught new ways to handle emotional maturity, cope with common pressures, anxieties and disappointments without relying on drugs and alcohol.
As soon as they are deemed ready by the staff, the residents re-establish communication with their families. First through letters, then phone calls and during visits.
Though we have excellent recreational facilities on the 5 hectare property (basketball court, swimming pool, horses, billiards, table tennis and other games) other activities such as boating and kayaking at our rest house on Taal Lake and other recreational activities are granted on an earned basis under the supervision of the staff.
Our residents work hard, learn hard and play hard. This is necessary to provide our residents a new lifestyle that is built on responsibility, self-reliance, self-awareness, confidence, and commitment to change.
